more adventures in radical misunderstanding
there's a story that goes with that, but it seems panix.com is down. and I mean really down. when I try to go to www.panix.com I end up at some site in the UK. Panix is in New York City. I'm pretty sure this won't post. If (or when) it does, though, I'll tell you more about a the new sport of forkeyboarding.
...well, I guess Panix has got FTP working, at least, so it seems I can post again. Rather than tell the whole too-complicated story of how the title slug on this post came to be, just consider three things: 1) I was very tired because I'd just woken up; 2) I am nearly blind to begin with from trying to read the 4pt typefaces these young whippersnapper web designers seem to favor these days; and 3) this...
...oh piss. I guess FTP isn't hooked up just right just yet. because the goddam motherfucking grafik won't transfer. which kinda makes me wonder how this text is getting there, but who the fuck am I to know about these things. just some lame x-random end user. and as for you, well, you'll just have to wait to find out about #3, and in the meantime look at that ugly broken grafik placeholder as a reminder that entropy doesn't reverse any old time just because you want it to! you bastards. it's all your fault anyway.
Well, it seems that Panix is finally recovering from the HIJACKING, so now you can see the damn grafik. Just forget I said anything, OK?

I just found this on Esther Dyson's flickr photo page. I don't even remember how I got here. Does this ever happen to you? No, I bet that, unlike me, you all keep well organized notes of where you've been on the Internet, and what page you were on at any precise given hour and minute. I was never that good taking notes in college. I'd look at other kid's notes and be ashamed of my own, which looked like the child Picasso on mescaline had wiped his... well, they weren't all that good, you know what I mean? Anyway, I just found this picture of the gracefully aging Doc Searls here (the othe guy is Richard Ault it says) and this thing where I can post it directly to EGR or even CBO, so I just thought I'd test it out. Especially since I haven't posted jack shit here for such a long time, but a) I figured you'd understand, and b) did I ever?

Until a minute ago, I had no photos. I still have no photos to speak of.
I don't even have a camera. But all these people were linking to "my photos."
It was embarassing. It's still embarassing. But I'm used to that.
