"So apparently going to IHOP from 1:30am -> 3:30am this morning did not adversely affect my essay writing skills, because I whipped out a 4-pager about Huck Finn in record time this morning AND managed to sound coherent during our code review. Andy took a break from studying the resistance development of HIV protease, Josh took a break from tetris, and Dave took a break from... um... whatever it is that Dave does, to join me. Apparently Dave and I had a pseudo-argument, even though (on further reflection) it primarily consisted of me emphatically telling him things he agreed with. Andy performed the important function of pointing out that we are all full of shit, and Josh provided fodder for the assembled, completely unqualified, arm-chair pyschologists. Dave also discovered the suprisingly high exit velocity of half-and-half from those tiny plastic packets."
