Monday, August 28, 2000 BLOGGER on Blogger on blogger... The guy who created this thing that is costing me so many precious hours of my life writes: 'Doc Searls writes to his fellow Cluetrain authors: 'Weblogs are also an extremely significant market development that I wish we had written about. It is not only highly vocal, but highly conversational, and very much a native creature of the new agora.' Amen. While we were reading The Cluetrain Manifesto here at Pyra, we couldn't help but naturally think about Blogger -- especially during 'The Hyperlinked Organization' chapter, wherein David Weinberger writes: 'Hyperlinks are the connections made by real individuals based on what they care about and what they know, the paths that emerge because that's where the feet are walking, as opposed to the highways bulldozed into existence to a centralized plan.' Along these lines, we're on a mission to 'Bloggerize' companies to encourage the kinds of hyperlinks, connections, and conversations the Cluetrain boys write about. We've created something called "Enterprise Blogger" for large companies who can't use the tool outside their firewalls. It's currently being tested in Cisco, where anyone in the company can go and create a blog for their team, project, or area of expertise. More info to come..." 6:00 PM | link | |
